Estimator / Contracts Manager | Ashbourne | Full Time | £45,000–£55,000 + Package

Our client is a well-established specialist joinery manufacturer, producing bespoke exterior, heritage, interior and fire door products for residential and commercial customers.

As part of their continued investment, modernisation and growth, they are looking for an experienced Estimator / Contracts Manager to join their Commercial team, based primarily at their Ashbourne site.

This is an end-to-end commercial role, where you’ll manage enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, order and production handover. You’ll work mainly across bespoke exterior joinery and heritage/restoration projects, including windows, doors and specialist joinery.

If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects, build strong customer relationships and have a direct impact on the success of the business, this could be an excellent opportunity.

What will your role look like?

  • Managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to order
  • Preparing accurate estimates and quotations for bespoke joinery projects
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information
  • Carrying out site surveys where required
  • Managing customer relationships and larger contracts
  • Controlling project scope, variations and commercial risks
  • Working closely with the Technical team to finalise finish requirements
  • Ensuring every order is clearly defined and ready for production
  • Providing a clear handover to Site and Production teams
  • Remaining the main commercial and customer contact throughout the project
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure projects progress smoothly

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
