Role Overview
Working closely with project managers and site teams, the Demolition Estimator will prepare accurate costings, tenders, and project budgets for demolition and enabling works projects. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the estimating process, gain exposure to a variety of project types, and play a key role in securing new business for a reputable and growing specialist contractor.
Position Remuneration
- Base salary: £65,000-£85,000 per year, depending on experience
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Holidays: Standard company holiday allowance plus bank holidays
- Benefits: Competitive benefits package including pension scheme and other standard employee perks

Position Overview
- Prepare accurate costings, budgets, and tender submissions for residential, commercial, and industrial demolition projects
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and site surveys to calculate materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor requirements
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to gather technical and commercial information
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and realistic pricing
- Assist in the preparation of bid documents, schedules, and reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Maintain and update estimating records, cost databases, and project documentation

- Proven experience in estimating or quantity surveying within demolition, construction, or civil engineering projects
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and project costs
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with project teams, clients, and suppliers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience of estimating software or CAD packages desirable
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
