The company manages projects from initial concept through detailed design, precision manufacturing, and installation. Role Description

The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Andover, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for bespoke joinery projects. Day-to-day activities include:

  • Reviewing drawings and specifications
  • Conducting takeoffs
  • Liaising with design, production, and project management teams to ensure estimates reflect technical and practical requirements
  • Obtaining and analyzing supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Preparing tender documents
  • Supporting pricing strategies for conservation and high-end residential work
  • Maintaining estimating databases
  • Contributing to value engineering proposals
  • Providing clear, timely cost information to support decision-making and project delivery

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, including experience with cost estimating, takeoffs, and budget preparation.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general IT tools used for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of joinery, construction, or related trades, including materials, manufacturing processes, and installation methods.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, suppliers, and clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
  • Experience in high-end residential or conservation projects is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant vocational training or a qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Stockbridge and commit to full-time working hours. Working from home 1 day per week can be agreed following probation period.
