JBL Furniture Interiors & Design Ltd has been a trusted partner to leading architecture, design, and fit-out companies for over 35 years, delivering high-quality bespoke joinery and furniture. With more than 8,000 completed bespoke joinery contracts, the company is known for its craftsmanship, reliability, and specialist expertise. JBL provides design-to-delivery solutions, producing all items in-house at an advanced manufacturing facility using materials such as Corian, HI-MACS, veneered and solid timber, laminates, stone, and metal. The team manages every stage of the process, from quoting, briefing, and material selection through prototyping, CNC machining, thermoforming, project management, installation, and aftercare. This end-to-end approach allows JBL to deliver beautifully crafted, functional interiors ranging from one-off statement pieces to full interior fit-outs.
Role Description
The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Feltham, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for bespoke joinery and furniture projects. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Reviewing drawings and specifications
- Analyzing material and labor requirements
- Producing detailed quotations in line with project briefs and client expectations
The role involves collaborating closely with design, production, and project management teams to clarify requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure estimates reflect manufacturing capabilities and timelines. The Estimator will liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, evaluate alternatives, and maintain up-to-date cost databases for materials and services. The position also includes supporting the sales and project teams with value engineering options, tracking estimate revisions, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong estimating and cost analysis skills for bespoke joinery, furniture, or construction/interiors projects, including interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with estimating and office software (e.g., Excel, estimating packages, CAD or drawing review tools) and the ability to work with digital documentation and databases.
- Knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials (e.g., solid surfaces, timber, laminates, metals, stone), and production workflows, or experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, project management, suppliers, and clients, including clear written quotation and report preparation.
- Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple quotes, deadlines, and changing priorities.
- Previous experience as an Estimator or in a closely related role within joinery, furniture, fit-out, or construction is highly beneficial.
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification in construction, quantity surveying, joinery, manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
