Key purpose:

Prepare accurate costings for bids, tenders, and proposals, helping to ensure creative, competitive, and innovative bids are delivered to existing and future clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site visits to establish and verify asset information.
  • Prioritising and organising work to ensure cost models are produced by the specified deadlines.
  • Understand the commercial and contractual terms of each bidding opportunity.
  • Identify commercial risk and ensure this is quantified within the cost model.
  • Obtain quotations from relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Complete Form of Tender documentation with any qualifications as required.
  • Contact new Managing Agents when a site is sold or has a new Managing Agent appointed and succeed in getting the contract transferred.
  • Obtain all relevant contact, billing information, and specific instructions for the new owners or Managing agent for both new and change of managing agent contracts.
  • Attend client meetings and presentations as required, taking responsibility for the commercial aspect of the bids.
  • Work closely with the operational teams post contract award ensuring a smooth mobilisation process.

Reporting to Pricing Manager

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Client focused with ability to understand client and contractual requirement.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail, with the ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload, work well under pressure, and meet project deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of SFG20.
  • Exceptional IT skills particularly in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to identify opportunities to sell additional services.
  • Prior experience in the Building Services sector, preferably technically qualified in a Mechanical/Electrical discipline.
  • Proficient in Maths.
  • Full Driving Licence.
