Passive Fire Protection Estimator

Location: London

About the Company

Our client is a leading specialist contractor within the passive fire protection industry, delivering high-quality fire safety solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and public sector projects throughout London and the South East.

With an excellent reputation for technical expertise, compliance and exceptional service, they work alongside many of the UK's leading principal contractors, developers, housing associations and facilities management providers. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Passive Fire Protection Estimator to join their commercial team.

The Role

As a Passive Fire Protection Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of passive fire protection projects. Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will review tender documentation, carry out site visits where required and produce detailed cost estimates to support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for passive fire protection projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Carry out site surveys and attend pre-tender meetings where required.
  • Price fire stopping, compartmentation, fire door installation and remedial works.
  • Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and the internal delivery team throughout the tender process.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and tender documentation.
  • Assist with handovers to the operations team following successful bids.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within passive fire protection is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of fire stopping, compartmentation and fire door works.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
