About the Role
Our client, a well-established Main Contractor based in Leicestershire, is going through a period of significant growth having secured over £80m of new work in the last six weeks alone, with fresh tenders coming in thick and fast. As a result, they're looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction Team with the addition of an experienced Estimator.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong forward order book and genuine career progression on offer, working across a varied mix of Industrial & Logistics, Sports & Leisure, and Mixed Use schemes.
Estimator Roles & Responsibilities
- Production of tender Bills of Quantities and pricing documents, pricing from first principles
- Analysis of subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Producing scopes of works for design teams and specialist consultants on design and build projects
- Value engineering ideas and solutions to meet client budgets
- Production of final bid documents and quality submissions
- Working across a range of contract types including D&B, Bills of Quantities, and NEC
- Managing the tender supplier/subcontractor database
- Detailed appraisal of incoming tenders and risk registers presented to the board

Estimator Experience Required
- Solid background as an Estimator with a Main Contractor, ideally within the East Midlands region
- Track record pricing projects across a range of values, from circa £5m up to £15m
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple live tenders at once
- Strong commercial acumen and confident presenting at tender interviews/settlements
- Relevant construction qualification (HNC/degree or equivalent)
