Estimator (Sizewell C) CWA Sizewell C

  • Support estimates in accordance with the SZC policies and procedures.
  • Generally support the Geotechnical Estimating Team with the estimate development
  • Review SZC's drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour, and equipment
  • Record assumptions and identify risks and opportunities including supporting developing the risk evaluation from a pricing/budgetary point of view.
  • Liaise with members of the project team & supply chain to develop and understand methodologies and principles proposed.
  • Support in developing from first principles labour, plant material, subcontract pricing within the Contractor's Estimating Software Candy.
  • Producing quantity take-off's and scheduling from enquiry documents
  • Compiling elementary bills for pricing
  • Preparation of supplier and sub-contractor enquiries for sourcing quotations
  • Compilation of graphics and text to include within tender proposals
  • Liaising with plant division to source bespoke items
  • Working within various electronic portals to submit and retrieve information.
  • Support package handovers to operations.

Essential

  • Proficient in the use of excel and similar software.
  • Good knowledge & understanding of written English & mathematics

  • Experienced estimating background using Candy Estimating Software.
  • Experienced estimating background using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software.
  • Experience of working with the AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity
  • Mobile and flexible
