Role Description
The Estimator at Timbateq Limited will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for bespoke joinery projects across commercial and high-end residential sectors. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Quantifying materials and labor
- Sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Compiling tender submissions in line with client requirements

The role involves working closely with the management team, project managers, and design professionals to:
- Clarify scope
- Manage variations
- Support value engineering while maintaining quality standards
The Estimator will also:
- Update and maintain pricing databases
- Contribute to project budgeting and forecasting
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Leicester.
Qualifications
- Strong estimating skills for joinery or construction projects, including the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Proficiency in numerical analysis and cost breakdowns, with confidence in using spreadsheets and estimating or project management software.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and installation methods within joinery or related trades.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with architects, designers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in commercial and/or high-end residential projects, ideally within bespoke joinery or interior fit-out environments.
- Relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, estimating, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive working practices and a professional approach to client and team interactions.
