Granite Recruitment is partnering with a fantastic Scottish based Engineering client who are in the market for an experienced Estimator to join them.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an Estimator/Senior Estimator with solid experience of first principle estimating to join this growing business and be an integral part of their continued success and growth. In this role you will have direct access to senior leadership and partner with them on many projects, with a steadfast commitment to your own development via continuous learning, development and exposure to some of the biggest projects and frameworks happening in Scotland.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects - labour, materials, equipment and other resources
  • Review and analyse tender documents, contracts, and drawings. Prepare and submit tenders and proposals to clients.
  • Identify potential project risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Provide detailed reports on costs and expenditures, helping ensure that projects are delivered within budget.

What we're looking for:

  • Estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience producing tender build-ups and using estimating software (ConQuest or similar)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to assess costs and project viability.
  • Experience of first principle estimating is a necessity
  • Effective communicator who enjoys thrives on collaboration and playing an integral part within a rapidly growing business
  • It is desirable that you have previous site experience
