Job Description
Ready to shape the systems powering energy trading at scale? Want to use your technical skills to solve real-world challenges in a fast-moving commercial environment, while continuing to learn and grow? At EDF, your impact matters – because Success is Personal.
The Opportunity
As an ETRM Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building and improving the trading systems that sit at the heart of our wholesale business. Working within our Trading Risk Management Centre of Excellence, you’ll help deliver secure, scalable solutions that connect systems, data and people – supporting smarter decisions across energy markets. Your work will directly contribute to how we operate today, and how we evolve for tomorrow.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this is a fully remote role (#Remote), giving you the flexibility to work in a way that suits you. We’re also open to candidates who are still developing their experience – so if you bring strong foundations and the right mindset, we’ll support your growth.
From hands-on development to collaborating with architects and business stakeholders, you’ll be part of EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain. With access to modern technologies, real trading environments, and opportunities to expand your skills, this is a role where you can build both systems and your career.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
