Job Description: Project Manager – EU Pay Transparency Directive Delivery

We’re searching for a motivated and adaptive Project Manager to drive compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive across multiple jurisdictions and business units. This role ensures cohesion between Regulatory timelines, cross-functional stakeholder alignment, and operational delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Orchestrating a complex, multi-functional project (**HR, Rewards, Legal, Compliance & Risk, Technology) to guarantee seamless compliance.
  • Translating regulatory ambiguity into clear, actionable strategies while balancing global scalability and local nuances.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop audit-ready, data-driven solutions for pay equity, transparency, and reporting.
  • ** Managing risk**, escalating potential regulatory, operational, or HR disruptions.
  • Enabling cross-organisational alignment, bridging gaps between legal, tech, and business stakeholders.

About This Role

  • Reports to: Head of Rewards
  • Impact: Critical driver of regulatory transformation—ensuring global compliance readiness whilst fostering sustainable BAU (business-as-usual) processes.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of EU Pay Transparency Directive initiatives globally, aligning with legal timelines and execution plans.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear project briefs, adapting to evolving scope and country-specific challenges.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (HR, Reward, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology) to ensure consistent compliance across geographies.
  • Oversee pay-equity reporting, data integrity, and systems integration, ensuring:
    • GDPR compliance
    • Audit readiness
    • Minimal operational disruption
  • Manage risks and dependencies, mitigating potential escalations sensitively.
  • Drive governance, reporting, and change management, including:
    • Executive briefings
    • Stakeholder communications
    • Transition to repeatable processes

IdealCandidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience, including:
    • 5+ years in fast-paced, multi-national matrix environments managing complex projects.
    • Proven track record in HR Transformation, Reward, or Regulatory Change programmes.
    • Multi-country regulatory or HR transformation initiatives in Europe highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with:
    • EU labour laws, pay equity, or transparency regulations
    • GPP Reporting, job evaluation frameworks, reward benchmarking
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., Agile/Scrum, Prince2, Six Sigma) highly valued.

Technical Skills

  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Advanced Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams.
  • **HR Systems:**Strong knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, payroll, and compensation platforms.
  • Data Governance & Compliance:
    • Understanding of GDPR, sensitive employee data handling, regulatory interpretations.
    • Basic IT infrastructure (e.g., applications, networks) for business-impact analysis.
