Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why This Role Is Different

Laboratory consumables are at the heart of scientific discovery. Unlike capital equipment businesses, success is driven by recurring purchasing behaviour, account penetration, customer retention, and portfolio expansion.

This role requires a leader who understands how to:

  • Grow recurring revenue streams.
  • Increase customer share of wallet.
  • Develop distributor and channel partner performance.
  • Build strategic relationships with laboratory customers.
  • Drive demand across both direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Balance long-term strategic growth with strong operational execution.

The successful candidate will combine commercial leadership with a deep understanding of how life science laboratories purchase, evaluate, and adopt products across the research workflow.

What We're Looking For

You will likely bring:

  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience within life sciences, laboratory consumables, laboratory products, scientific instrumentation, reagents, research tools, or related markets.
  • Experience leading multi-country sales organisations and distributor networks.
  • A proven track record of delivering revenue growth and market share gains.
  • Strong understanding of life science customers and research environments.
  • Experience developing strategic account programmes and customer growth initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, pricing, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • The ability to influence across sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams within a matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrated success operating in an international leadership role, with the flexibility to travel across Europe to engage customers, develop strategic partnerships, coach teams, and drive commercial performance.
