EUC Architect – Large-Scale Transformation
Location: Reading / Hybrid
Contract: 12 months
Rate: Inside I35 - negotiable
The Opportunity
You will work closely with senior IT leadership and key business stakeholders to define and deliver an enterprise-wide EUC strategy.
The environment includes a broad technology estate, with opportunities to modernise and optimise services through technologies including:
- Microsoft Intune
- SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager
- Windows Autopilot
- Windows and macOS endpoint management
- Mobile device management
- EPOS and retail store technologies
- Endpoint security and compliance
- Application packaging and deployment
- Digital experience monitoring
- Automation and cloud-based EUC services

Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the end-to-end EUC architecture and technology roadmap across Windows, macOS, mobile and retail endpoints.
- Lead large-scale EUC transition, transformation and modernisation programmes from strategy and design through to implementation.
- Architect modern endpoint management solutions using Intune, SCCM/MECM and Windows Autopilot.
- Define and drive standards for endpoint security, compliance, patching and vulnerability management.
- Work with CIO-level and senior IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical, scalable EUC solutions.
- Establish EUC architecture principles, governance, standards and service management frameworks.
- Oversee application packaging, deployment and lifecycle management across a complex endpoint estate.
- Support the availability, resilience and performance of business-critical endpoint services, including retail and store environments.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digital experience monitoring, analytics and continuous service improvement.
- Support risk management, audit readiness and regulatory/security requirements across the EUC estate.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced EUC / Modern Workplace / Endpoint Architect who has operated at enterprise scale and can combine strategic architecture with strong technical understanding.
Essential:
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise EUC architecture.
- Strong expertise across Windows, macOS and mobile endpoint management.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM and Windows Autopilot.
- Experience leading significant EUC transition and transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security, compliance, patching and vulnerability management.
- Experience with application packaging, deployment and lifecycle management.
- Experience establishing EUC architecture standards, governance and service frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior IT leadership and business stakeholders.
- Experience working across large, complex and geographically distributed endpoint estates.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and architectural decision-making skills.

Desirable Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be highly beneficial:
- Retail, EPOS or store technology environments
- Nexthink, SysTrack or other digital experience monitoring platforms
- Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365
- Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access and MFA
- Zero Trust and modern endpoint security frameworks
- PowerShell and endpoint automation
- ServiceNow / ITIL environments
- DevOps or CI/CD approaches to endpoint configuration and application deployment
- Multi-vendor and geographically distributed technology environments
- ISO 27001, GDPR and wider security/compliance frameworks
