EUC Engineer
A London-based quant trading firm is hiring an EUC Engineer to improve End-User and Desktop support through better service and technology automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering an exceptional end-user experience to demanding users in a fast-paced trading environment
- Identifying repetitive tasks and automating them through scripting
- Troubleshooting desktop performance issues using system and process metrics
- Owning problems end-to-end: investigating root causes, fixing them properly and documenting the outcome
- Working with vendors, technology teams, and business stakeholders to improve systems and services

Key Requirements
- 1–3 years in an IT support, service desk, desktop, or EUC role
- A strong customer service mentality and the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Strong Windows skills, plus exposure to Active Directory, networking, or Linux
- Some scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Go
- A genuine interest in technology, such as a home lab or side projects
- The role would suit an early-career technologist who wants to build on their foundational IT knowledge in a highly complex, data-driven financial trading environment

This is an entry-level technology role with extensive scope for professional and technical development. The role requires 4 days per week in the office, so it would suit someone living in London or with a reasonable commute. Depending on the circumstances, relocation support may be considered.
