Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Support Apprentice to join our Europe North IT team based in Welwyn Garden City, UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and wants to build a career in IT.

As part of our IT Support team, you'll be the first point of contact for colleagues needing technical assistance, helping to keep our IT systems running smoothly across multiple locations across 10 different countries. You'll receive hands-on training and support while working towards your apprenticeship qualification, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of technologies.

No previous IT experience is required, but we're looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide first-line IT support to colleagues across the Europe North region.
  • Respond to IT support requests via our ticketing system, email and phone.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues with support from the wider IT team.
  • Assist with setting up laptops, desktops, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
  • Support the rollout of new hardware and IT projects.
  • Help maintain accurate IT asset records.
  • Document issues and resolutions within our service desk.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring support requests are handled efficiently.
  • Provide both remote support and on-site support across our local sites.

  • Are proactive and willing to ask questions when you need support.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel between local sites when required.

It Would Be Great If You Have Some Knowledge Of

You don't need to know everything below, but any exposure would be an advantage:

  • Windows operating systems.
  • Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Basic computer hardware.
  • Basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, IP addresses, DNS).
  • Active Directory.
  • Mobile devices (iOS and Android).
  • IT ticketing systems.

Please note this is an 18 month apprenticeship programme. Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a permanent IT Support Engineer position, subject to business needs and performance.
