Job Title
European Data Governance Analyst
The Role
The European Data Governance Analyst supports operationalisation of the European Data Governance Framework through data quality assurance, process documentation, governance reporting and remediation delivery. Working with Data Governance Partners, Data Domain Practice Leads, Data Stewards, Technology, Risk, Privacy and Compliance, the role combines business analysis, process mapping and governance expertise across European business functions. This role will be managed and directed by the EU Head of Data Governance.
In this role you will
- Work under the strategic direction of the Head of EU Data Governance and be responsible for implementing governance requirements within your assigned business area
- Produce data quality dashboards, scorecards and management information; source, validate and map Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
- Support data lineage, mapping, process validation, control testing, metadata reviews and data quality assessments
- Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes and support sustainable remediation
- Document end-to-end data processes, flows, controls, operating procedures and governance artefacts to support auditability
- Work with Data Governance Partners to design, document and embed proportionate controls that mitigate European Data Governance Key Risk Drivers.
- Maintain business glossary, data dictionary, CDE, ownership and metadata records in Collibra and related repositories
- Maintain roadmaps, plans, RAID logs and status reporting across multiple workstreams; facilitate workshops and translate complex concepts into clear business language.
- Identify opportunities to simplify or automate monitoring, governance processes and reporting

What it takes
- Excellent Communication skills, can clearly and precisely translate technical detail to easy-to-understand summaries in meetings, presentations and document
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Significant experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role, including process and requirements documentation
- Experience producing dashboards, reporting and management information.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment
Preferred: experience in a large regulated organisation; Data Governance, Data Quality, Privacy, Risk, Compliance or Operational Resilience; GDPR, retention, lineage or metadata; and Collibra, Purview or similar tooling
Preferred technologies: SQL, Python, Collibra, Power BI, Advanced Excel, Purview, Tableau

- This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
