Europe eCommerce Senior Manager

The purpose of this position of Senior Manager, Europe eCommerce is to lead the development and accelerated penetration-led growth of Europe eCommerce channel, with accountability for development and implementation of overall online routes to market strategy, visibility to capture business potential at best cost aligned with BIC strategic goals and operational capabilities.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Build and lead EU eCommerce channel strategic planning to develop sales, visibility and conversion across Pure Players, Omni Channel, B2B and Marketplaces, with an efficient and scalable approach across the region.
  • Be accountable for the overall EU eCommerce P&L, defining key investments and overseeing channel profitability.
  • Proactively and collaboratively work across the Company and with Digital CST to determine overall eCommerce strategy and the strategic role of the channel for each category, acting as the eCommerce EU expert to inform or influence key decisions with competence and vision.
  • Define key growth enablers, leading or collaborating to their accomplishment through cross-functional cooperation with regional and Group stakeholders:
    • eCommerce assortment strategy and optimal range development (and simplification), converging BIC strategic priorities, online shopper needs and customers’ specificities, with an incremental focus on Price-Pack-Architecture.
    • Price and Promo strategy evolution and execution.
    • Content management, media/branding strategy execution and overall digital operation excellence.
    • Best route-to-market, structure, capabilities, data management/tools and key partnerships implementation.
  • Lead growth in Amazon, key EU customer, coordinating the work of regional and local teams, through excellent data-driven / shopper-centric customer planning, investments allocation to maximize ROI and best execution in sales, digital shelf activation and operations, while continue upgrading customer intimacy and JBP.
  • Align Group and regional objectives, cascade KPIs and provide operational support for markets optimization and execution. Define effective processes and tools to monitor performance and track business, including communication/reporting, risk&opp identification and management.
  • Ensure the appropriate trade terms coordination for regional retailers and guarantee consistency between online & offline business partners.
  • Foster an eCommerce community, facilitate alignment on business and best practices sharing, and promote key capabilities development, in collaboration with digital CST, including training programs to elevate skills and competences across the region.
  • Accelerate development of marketplace channel across EU, including establishment of successful partnerships, assortment and pricing to enhance growth and profitability.
  • Develop new eCommerce growth opportunities at regional level and support Countries team on strategic eCommerce development in target markets, including business development with main local customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a Digital Marketing, Sales eCommerce role.
  • Amazon Customer management and EU experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally Business, Communication, Marketing.
  • Digital Marketing / Digital Operations skills and experience.
  • Strong project and product management expertise.
  • Direct experience in Marketplaces development is a plus.
  • Results-oriented leader with proven track record for delivering sustainable results.
  • Strong change management capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation skills and capability to communicate effectively with different level of people inside/outside of organization.
  • Strong executive written and verbal communication.
  • Managerial courage.
  • Ability to adapt to differences.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize, analyze, and present data with solutions.
  • Analytic mindset and insight mining capability a must.
  • P&L management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to distill complex data into clear and meaningful recommendations.
  • Deep experience with analytics tools and synthesis.
  • Solid MS Office skills.
  • Fluent business English.
