Job Title: Media Performance Manager
Location: White Spider Media - London
Type: Full-time – Hybrid – Mon and Fri working from home- Tues – Thurs working from office
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled European Media Manager with a strong background in media planning and buying (preferably in finance). The core role involves planning, buying and reporting on advertising campaigns across multiple European countries. You will report to the Account Directors for those clients, and build strong client-facing relationships. Applying strategic thinking in planning and bringing an analytical mind when analysing reports is key.
The activity that you will be managing comprises of all forms of paid media, from traditional channels (TV, Outdoor, Print) to digital first channels (programmatic, social media, website) and high impact bookings (events, sponsorships, partnerships). Experience in all of these is not mandatory; we offer a robust training program.
Additionally, you will take a leading role in building relationships with the media, ensuring you are keeping up to date on the media landscape, advertising trends across multiple countries and understanding financial products, markets and audience habits.
Maintaining a very high level of service is integral to our business so that planned works are delivered efficiently, within deadline and to an exceptional standard.
This role would suit a confident, intelligent individual with strong communications skills and exceptional attention to detail, to help manage several existing accounts as well as be involved with new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing European clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective communication.
- Understand clients' needs and proactively identify value adding opportunities that will enhance their media plan or strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address client concerns and deliver solutions that meet their media objectives and service level requirements.

Own and Develop Media Relations:
- A crucial part of the role is to be visible in market; regularly speaking with publishers to build relationships and keep on top of new opportunities and trends.
- The role involves travel to European industry events, such as Il Salone del Risparmio to get in front of clients and media owners.
Internal Knowledge Share:
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs, becoming a knowledge hub that other team members can discuss ideas with.
- You will help support and build up other team members by sharing your expertise and understanding the FS media landscape.
New Business Development:
- Identify and target potential financial or B2B clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to showcase our capabilities and value proposition.
Requirements
- Languages (Italian preferred)
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Attention to detail and superb organisational skills
- Proven experience in media planning, buying and reporting roles within an agency.
- Proficient understanding of digital media platforms and campaign execution.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing campaigns in multiple regions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable using campaign data to inform strategic decisions and present insights to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Personable, and confident in building and maintaining relationships with clients and the media to build rapport
- Confident, collaborative, and inclusive style with the ability to work effectively in a team orientated environment, and on their own
- Eager to learn, and to teach and share knowledge with the wider team
- Confident in presenting media strategies, campaign reports and market insights to relevant stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Microsoft Office literate

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Account Manager in the financial services sector, with a track record of successfully managing international and domestic clients.
- Strong understanding of financial products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
