Location: London | European remit
L.E.K. Consulting is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Development Manager to help drive the continued growth of our European Industrials Practice.
What is the role like?
This is a senior, highly visible business development role at the heart of L.E.K.’s European Industrials Practice.
Working closely with the Head of the European Industrials Practice / Global Industrials Co-Head, Industrials Partners across Europe and the European Chief Commercial Officer, you will help shape and execute the Practice’s commercial agenda. Your focus will be on identifying where L.E.K. can build relationships, creating opportunities for meaningful senior-level engagement and helping convert those relationships into commercial opportunities.
This isn’t simply a pipeline-management role. You’ll act as a commercial thought partner to senior Partners, bringing an informed perspective on which clients and prospects to prioritise, how best to engage them and where market developments create opportunities for L.E.K.
The role has a European remit and will involve working across sectors, accounts and geographies, alongside Partners, the DACH Industrials BDM, Marketing and other colleagues across the firm.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
