🚨 We’re Hiring: EU Buyer 📍 Location: Holmes Chapel 💼 Department: Commercial 👥 Reporting to: Head of Purchasing
We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused EU Buyer to join our Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong purchasing and supplier management experience who can identify opportunities, negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with suppliers across Europe.
About the Role
As an EU Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare products from European suppliers, ensuring we secure the right products, at the right price and at the right time. You will play an important role in supporting the company’s commercial objectives, managing supply risks and developing our European supplier network.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure products from approved European suppliers
- Negotiate pricing and payment terms to achieve commercial savings
- Monitor product availability, pricing and delivery schedules
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Identify new suppliers, products and sourcing opportunities
- Manage purchase orders and monitor supplier performance
- Resolve issues relating to pricing, quality, shortages and delivery
- Work closely with Sales, Regulatory, Quality, Warehouse, Finance and Customer Service
- Support forecasting, cost reduction and supply chain planning
- Ensure purchasing activity complies with GDP, MHRA requirements and the company’s QMS
- Occasional overseas travel may be required

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills
- Experienced in purchasing, procurement or buying
- Confident building and managing supplier relationships both virtually and in person
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to analyse pricing and identify commercial opportunities
- A strong communicator and team player
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and regulated environment
- Proactive, results-focused and able to manage competing priorities
