European Chief Technologist

If you are passionate about shaping technology strategy and influencing how a leading technology and services provider responds to market change, this is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact at an European level. As European Chief Technologist, you will define the strategic direction for one of our technology areas, helping ensure our portfolio, partner alignment and customer engagement remain relevant, differentiated and positioned for growth.

Working across our European businesses, you will operate at the intersection of Country Units, Service Lines, partners and customers. You will bring together customer demand, market signals, competitive insight and internal priorities to create a clear technology vision, strategic roadmap and investment direction that supports long-term success.

What you'll do

  • Define and own the vision and strategy for a key technology area across Europe
  • Identify market shifts, customer needs and competitive trends, translating them into actionable priorities and roadmaps
  • Shape portfolio direction and investment plans in collaboration with Service Line teams and wider stakeholders
  • Lead and influence virtual teams across Country Units and Service Lines to align on strategy, priorities and execution
  • Represent the technology area in European steering discussions and senior leadership forums
  • Create compelling thought leadership, customer messaging and strategic assets that support sales and growth
  • Engage with customers, partners and analysts to strengthen Computacenter’s market position and strategic relevance
  • Support major opportunities across the business by sharing insight, direction and technology expertise

What you’ll need

  • Strong experience in the IT industry, with deep technology knowledge and commercial awareness
  • A proven ability to develop technology strategy, vision and roadmaps in a complex business environment
  • Experience working across matrix structures and leading through influence in virtual teams
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, customers and partners
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear strategic direction
  • Strategic thinking, sound judgement and strong problem-solving capability
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the credibility to challenge, influence and drive alignment
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred
