I'm supporting a growing global consultancy that is looking to hire a European/International Resilience Lead to establish and scale its European enterprise resilience practice, extending a proven US capability into Europe, the UK and beyond.
This is a build role, and a hands-on one. You would take established methodologies and delivery assets, adapt them to European regulatory and cross-border realities, then do the work yourself. There is no delivery bench underneath you to pass the technical detail to. You would be shaping recovery architecture, hardening infrastructure, running the exercises, and standing in front of the room when it matters. Reporting directly to the Global Resilience Lead.
The role
- Grow a portfolio of European clients by marketing, shaping and delivering resilience services along with running crisis and recovery programs across the region
- Deliver enterprise resilience transformation programmes hands-on: resilient operating models, secure recovery architectures and operational resilience capabilities
- Run crisis and recovery programmes end to end, from readiness and governance through to response testing, exercising and restoring critical services
- Design and pressure-test recovery capability across large-scale hybrid and multi-cloud estates, covering backup, replication, isolated recovery and Tier 0 availability
- Assess existing resilience programmes, identify the capability gaps and build practical improvement roadmaps aligned to NIST CSF categories
- Align client capability to DORA, NIS2, the CER Directive, ISO 22301, EBA ICT Guidelines and sector supervisory guidance
- Lead proposals and executive presentations, and act as a trusted advisor across readiness and governance, technical hardening and recovery

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What they are looking for
Two things matter most.
First, you need to be comfortable in front of a conference room. Executive briefings, board-level presentations, client workshops and exercise facilitation are a constant in this role, not an occasional add-on.
Second, you need to be able to teach this business something it does not already know. This is a practice being built rather than maintained, and the expectation is that you raise the technical bar internally as well as delivering for clients.
Beyond that, the ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years leading or advising on enterprise resilience, cyber security, infrastructure, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response or crisis management for large, complex European or global organisations
- Genuine hands-on implementation experience across enterprise resilience, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, business continuity or operational resilience in large-scale hybrid and multi-cloud environments, rather than oversight of others doing it
- A real blend of governance and technical delivery: comfortable writing the framework, and equally comfortable in the recovery architecture underneath it
- Working knowledge of European and UK regulatory expectations, including DORA, NIS2, the CER Directive, ISO 22301 and EBA ICT Guidelines, with the ability to turn regulatory drivers into practical client actions
- The ability to translate technical detail for technical and non-technical stakeholders, showing how cyber security, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, incident response, infrastructure, networking, cloud and third-party risk work together to protect revenue, reduce single points of failure and sustain essential operations
- A consulting or corporate advisory background, whether a top-tier consulting firm, a specialist cyber security or resilience consultancy, a systems integrator, or an internal enterprise resilience function
- Experience supporting market development through proposals, executive briefings, business cases, roadmaps and client-ready presentations

Strongly desirable:
- Hands-on expertise across infrastructure, application, backup, replication and recovery architectures on-premises, hybrid, cloud and virtualised
- Experience designing Secure Isolated Recovery Environment (SIRE) and live-fire exercise solutions supporting Tier 0 infrastructure availability

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 or ITIL
Package
- Salary: €160,000 - €180,000

This would suit someone who wants to build a practice rather than inherit one, who is happy staying in the technical detail rather than delegating it, and who can hold a room of executives and leave them having learned something.
