Elevation are delighted to be continuing our valued partnership with AMG Chrome in their search for this brand new role European Lead Sales Manager
AMG Chrome has more than 80 years of experience making specialty metals and alloys at its Rotherham site, and is known worldwide for chromium metal and metal powders. Its chrome goes into superalloys that have to perform in extreme heat and punishing environments, from aircraft engines to power generation. As part of AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group, it supplies the aluminium, steel, superalloy, hard-facing, welding and glass industries.
The opportunity
Metals is a relationship business, and this role gives you ownership of some of the most important ones.
The European Lead Sales Manager will lead AMG Chrome's sales across the UK and Europe and the Middle East. Your customers have ongoing raw material needs and stay loyal to suppliers they trust. Your job is to be that trusted voice: quick on pricing, sharp on priorities, and the first person they call when something needs solving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will also lead and support a small internal sales team based in Rotherham.
Much of the day-to-day happens by email, so responsiveness and commercial judgement matter. The real value comes from getting out there, though. About one week a month you'll be on the road and on site with customers, untangling problems and opening doors to new business. You'll also attend key metals conferences, sharing market insight and making sure that when a deal comes up for discussion, you're already in the conversation.
The role
- Lead sales across the UK and Europe, with Middle East coverage as opportunities arise
- Turn pricing enquiries around quickly and confidently, and understand what really drives each customer's decisions
- Build lasting relationships with senior managers, stores teams and procurement
- Visit customers on site to solve problems and uncover new opportunities
- Share market intelligence that keeps AMG Chrome front of mind when contracts come up for review
- Sell flexibly across the product range to customers with regular replacement needs
