European Technical Service Manager
As our new European Technical Service Manager, you’ll lead our European Technical Service function, turning technical expertise into customer value, profitable growth, and differentiated solutions across Composites, Functional Polymers, and Adhesives.
You’ll play a key role in shaping our technical approach across the region, working closely with Commercial, Operations, Product Management, and Group teams to identify and prioritise opportunities, solve customer challenges, and accelerate the adoption of our technologies. You’ll ensure our technical resources are focused where they can make the biggest commercial impact, supporting growth, margin improvement, customer retention, and efficient cost-to-serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the European Technical Service strategy, aligning technical priorities, resources, and capabilities to regional and Group growth objectives.
- Partner with Commercial and Product Management to identify opportunities, shape value propositions, and deliver profitable growth, margin improvement, and customer value.
- Lead strategic customer and application development, accelerating trials, qualifications, technology adoption, and commercialisation across Europe.
- Own technical quality and risk, driving effective complaint resolution, root-cause analysis, and governance of application, regulatory, and claims risks.
- Lead and develop the European Technical Service team, building capability, accountability, and consistent technical service standards across the region.

What We’re Looking For
- Significant leadership experience in technical service, applications, product development, or a similar customer-facing technical function.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to turn technical expertise into customer value, profitable growth, and improved margins.
- Proven experience within composites, functional polymers, and/or structural adhesives, including relevant manufacturing processes and end-use applications.
- Experience leading customer trials, qualification, application development, and technical problem-solving, while influencing cross-functional teams across Commercial, R&D, Operations, Quality, and Product Management.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
