European Transport Planner Required!

Our client is an established UK and international haulage company, operating a busy transport operation across the UK and Europe.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced European Transport Planner to join their transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating European transport movements, while maintaining strong communication with customers, drivers and other transport partners.

Package:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm or 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Every other Saturday, 8am-12pm
  • £34,000 - £38,000 DOE
  • 28 days holiday, including bank holidays
  • Pension scheme

European Transport Planner - Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate European transport movements from booking through to delivery
  • Organise daily transport schedules, ensuring vehicles and drivers are utilised efficiently
  • Liaise with customers, drivers, hauliers and European transport partners
  • Monitor planned movements and provide updates on any delays or changes
  • Ensure transport documentation and operational requirements are completed accurately
  • Resolve transport issues quickly and effectively to maintain service levels
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal transport systems
  • Support the wider transport team with the day-to-day running of the operation

European Transport Planner - Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a transport planning or transport operations role
  • Experience or understanding of European transport operations
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK and European road networks
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to manage multiple transport movements and changing priorities
  • Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
  • Full clean UK driving licence
