Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an EV Charger Installer at Apollo Car Chargers. The EV Charger Installer will be responsible for attending customer sites across the South of England to install, commission, and test domestic and commercial EV charging units.

Day-to-Day Tasks

- Conducting site surveys
- Interpreting electrical plans
- Routing cabling
- Configuring chargers
- Ensuring installations comply with relevant electrical and safety regulations
The role involves:
- Diagnosing faults
- Performing repairs
- Providing clear guidance to customers on safe and effective charger use
The installer will collaborate with the operations team, maintain accurate documentation, and use remote tools and communication platforms to manage scheduling, reporting, and customer updates.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical installation skills with experience in domestic or commercial wiring, cabling, and fault-finding.
- Knowledge of EV charging technology, electrical safety standards, and relevant UK wiring regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturer instructions, and installation specifications.
- Solid customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in clear terms.
- Competence in using digital tools for remote communication, job scheduling, reporting, and completing electronic documentation.
- Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., Level 3 electrical installation or equivalent) and valid certification to work on live electrical systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South of England for on-site installations.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safe working practices, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience installing EV chargers or similar electrical equipment is highly beneficial.
