Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom for EV Charger Installers and Maintenance Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Installing domestic and commercial EV charging points
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and charger-related issues
- Conducting site surveys
- Interpreting technical drawings and manufacturer specifications
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical and safety regulations
- Completing installation documentation
- Maintaining accurate service records
- Coordinating with office staff and clients on scheduling
- Providing clear guidance to customers on safe and effective charger use
- Working safely on live and de-energized systems
- Using appropriate tools and testing equipment
- Contributing to continuous improvement in installation standards and customer service

- Strong electrical installation skills, including experience with LV electrical systems, cable routing, and terminations.
- Competence in EV charger installation and commissioning, including understanding of Rolec or similar EV charging equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Sound knowledge of UK electrical regulations, BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), and relevant EV charging standards.
- Experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and EV charging equipment.
- Commitment to safe working practices, including use of appropriate PPE and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information in clear, accessible language.
- Ability to work independently on-site and effectively as part of a team, managing time and priorities under minimal supervision.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the London Area and surrounding regions.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, and current ECS/CSCS card; 18th Edition qualification is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in EV installations, commercial or domestic electrical contracting, or related field is an advantage.
