EV Charging Point Installer
Company: Elecology
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience
Additional earnings: £100 for completing a third installation in a day, with the potential to earn over £2,000 extra per month. Saturday overtime and an annual bonus are also available.

Location: Field-based, travelling to customer sites
At Elecology, we install EV charging points for homes and businesses. We’re looking for an experienced, fully qualified electrician to join our installation team.
Your main focus will be domestic installations and maintenance, working with chargers from Tesla, Hypervolt, myenergi, Ohme and other leading manufacturers. You’ll also have opportunities to support commercial projects.

Our installers usually start at 08:00 and complete two installations a day. Most domestic installations take around two hours. We assess every job in advance, so you arrive with a clear plan and the right materials. If you want to take on a third installation, you’ll earn an additional £100 for completing it.
What you’ll do
- Install, test and commission EV charging points at customers’ homes.
- Carry out maintenance and fault finding.
- Support commercial EV charging installations.
- Explain the installation and charger operation clearly to customers.
- Take ownership of your work and deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

You’ll also need:
- NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation.
- EV charging installation certification.
- At least one year experience installing EV charging points.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
