Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a rapidly growing EV infrastructure specialist to recruit an EV Maintenance & Installation Engineer for its UK-wide field operations.

The role comes with a £35,000-£45,000 salary, company vehicle, fuel card, overtime and ongoing training.

Responsibilities and duties of the EV Installation & Maintenance Engineer role

Reporting To The Management Team You Will

  • Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and fault-finding on AC and DC EV chargers.
  • Install, test and commission commercial EV charging systems.
  • Support three-phase installations and larger commercial projects.
  • Complete inspection, testing, EICRs and service reports.
  • Ensure work complies with BS 7671, EAS and manufacturer requirements.
  • Provide customer handovers and technical support.
  • Travel throughout Kent, Surrey, Sussex & East London.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent.
  • ECS/CSCS Card.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Level 3 EV Charging Installation qualification.
  • Level 3 Inspection & Testing qualification, such as 2391.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Minimum 2 years’ commercial electrical installation and maintenance experience.
  • Three-phase and EV charging experience.
