Company Description

Job Title: EV Project Manager

Location: Warrington

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reports To: Head of Projects / Operations Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced LV/HV EV Project Manager with a strong background in Distribution Network Operator (DNO) projects to lead the delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure and grid connection projects across low and high voltage networks.

This is a key role within our Energy & Infrastructure division, responsible for end-to-end project delivery — from design and planning through to commissioning and handover — ensuring compliance with DNO standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of LV/HV EV infrastructure projects, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Act as the main interface between the client, DNOs, ICPs, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee DNO contestable and non-contestable works, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and technical standards.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risk, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Prepare and review project documentation — RAMS, method statements, permits, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Support grid connection applications, design reviews, and technical submissions to DNOs.
  • Ensure all works comply with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) policies and CDM regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineers and site teams, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Liaise with procurement, design, and commercial teams to manage contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Report project performance and KPIs to senior management and clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
