Senior Evaluator for UNESCO's Global Priority Gender Equality
The UNESCO Evaluation Office is looking for a Senior Evaluator to lead the Evaluation of the UNESCO’s Global Priority Gender Equality. The evaluation of Global Priority Gender Equality 2026-2027 aims to assess UNESCO’s corporate performance on gender mainstreaming, in line with the requirements of the UN-SWAP framework.
The primary purpose of the evaluation is to provide a comprehensive assessment of UNESCO’s implementation of the Global Priority Gender Equality (GPGE), and to generate findings, lessons learned, and forward-looking recommendations to strengthen its strategic and operational implementation. The evaluation will assess what has been achieved, what has worked and under what conditions, as well as the main challenges and bottlenecks affecting the integration of gender equality across UNESCO’s work. It will serve both a summative and formative purpose, supporting organizational learning and informing the future strategic direction of UNESCO’s work on gender equality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
