Our client delivers electrical design, installation, and maintenance services to commercial, retail, and industrial organisations across the South of England. They have built long-standing partnerships with many leading UK organisations by consistently delivering tailored solutions, exceptional quality, and uncompromising safety standards. Due to high demand and growth of their EV charging installation work, they have created a brand new role for an experienced EVC Installation Project Manager.
Job Summary
The EVC Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Electric Vehicle Charging (EVC) and related infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan, manage, and deliver commercial EVC and related infrastructure projects end-to-end
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
- Monitor project progress and manage risks, issues, and change requests
- Ensure projects meet scope, quality, safety, and compliance standards
EVC & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate EVC design, installation, commissioning, and handover activities
- Work closely with engineering, electrical, and construction teams
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, electrical codes, and utility requirements
- Liaise with utility providers, authorities, and certification bodies as required

Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and contractors
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure performance and quality
- Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders
- Facilitate meetings, site visits, and progress reviews
Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
- Review invoices, variations, and claims
- Support procurement and contract administration activities
- Ensure commercial outcomes align with company objectives
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare project reports, schedules, and progress updates
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Ensure proper project close-out and handover documentation
Health, Safety & Quality
- Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
- Conduct quality checks and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Required Qualifications & Experience

- Experience with EV charging networks and technologies
- 5–7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in EVC, electrical, infrastructure, or construction projects
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of electrical or infrastructure projects EVC experience required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Solid understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification
- Electrical biased background
- Knowledge of sustainability, renewable energy, or smart infrastructure projects

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
