Hours

Part-time and Full-time Evening Hours Available

  • Typical shifts between 4:00pm and 10:00pm, including alternate weekends.

Salary

Competitive hourly rates, plus mileage and benefits.

Job Purpose

As an Evening Care Professional, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and companionship to older adults in their own homes. You will help clients feel safe, comfortable, and supported during the evening, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

This is a rewarding role where you will build genuine relationships with clients and make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities

  • Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
  • Preparing light meals and drinks
  • Assisting with medication reminders
  • Supporting with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Helping clients get ready for bed and settle comfortably for the evening
  • Completing light housekeeping duties
  • Supporting mobility and safe movement around the home
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
  • Updating care records accurately and promptly
  • Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Caring, compassionate, and reliable nature
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle

  • Previous care experience (not essential as full training is provided)

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential

  • Caring, compassionate, and reliable nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts and alternate weekends
  • Commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care

Desirable

  • Previous experience in care, support work, healthcare, hospitality, customer service, or a people-focused role
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience supporting older adults
  • Experience supporting individuals living with dementia
  • Medication administration experience
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care principles

Training Provided

No previous care experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Successful candidates will receive:

  • Comprehensive induction training
  • Dementia care training
  • Safeguarding training
  • Medication training
  • Moving and handling training
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Regular supervision and support from our experienced office team
