The Role

Overview

We’re expanding our team of Care Assistants (referred to internally as Care Professionals) across West Lothian, seeking passionate individuals to deliver compassionate, non-medical support to older adults. There are no prerequisites for experience or qualifications—our comprehensive training program ensures you’re equipped from day one. We celebrate diversity, welcoming applicants from backgrounds like retail, hospitality, childcare, or customer service.


Responsibilities

Your role as a Care Professional will include:

  • Conducting visits with a minimum duration of 1 hour, building long-term relationships with clients through companionship.
  • Adapting support to each client’s unique needs, aligning hobbies/interests to strengthen bonding.
  • Supporting clients with:
    • Shopping and household tasks
    • Preparing fresh, wholesome meals from scratch
    • Non-medical assistance to foster independence
    • Companionship-led care service
  • Assisting with daily living activities while respecting individual preferences.
  • Introducing yourself to new clients and otherwise collaborating with the wider team.
