Job Title: Evening Shift Packing Operative
Location: Fulbourn, Cambridge, CB21 5ET
Salary: Circa GBP16.50 per hour + shift allowance
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 5pm - 2am, Mon - Fri

S and B Herba Foods Ltd sources and imports rice, grains, and other raw materials from around the world, producing a wide range of ingredients to the specification of UK manufacturers and wholesalers.

About The Role
We are seeking a confident and reliable Packing Operative / Packing Machine Operator to join our evening shift team at our Rice Mill in Fulbourn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with packing line experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a six-person evening shift packing team operating packing lines
- Monitor packing equipment and carry out basic fault finding and minor repairs
- Complete production records and quality control documentation accurately
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards at all times
- Support general production activities to ensure the site operates efficiently and compliantly
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the business
Essential
About you:
- Experience working on packing or production lines
- Basic IT and computer skills
- Good attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
- Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 qualification
