About CRU:

CRU International is a leading provider of business intelligence and consulting services in the metals, mining, and fertilizer industries. With over 50 years of experience, we offer valuable insights and analysis that help our clients make informed decisions in an ever-changing global market.

About the Role:

As an Event Administrator, you’ll provide day-to-day administrative and customer support across CRU Communities events and sales activities. Working with colleagues across Events, Operations, Sales, and Marketing, you’ll help manage registrations, communications, event content, and client records. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to build experience in event operations and client support while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused team.

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, events, or client support is helpful but not essential.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Friendly, helpful approach to client service.
  • Good organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage routine tasks, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, platforms, and processes.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and initiative to ask questions and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Calm, professional approach when priorities change or workloads are busy.
  • Discretion and integrity when handling client and payment information.
  • Willingness to travel to support events onsite.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to routine enquiries from delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and other clients by email and telephone.
  • Process registrations, update records and order details, send confirmations, and follow up on outstanding information.
  • Support Event Managers and project teams with administrative tasks before, during, and after events.
  • Collect and organise speaker biographies, photographs, and presentation materials, and help maintain event agendas and website content.
  • Prepare event materials, including agendas, slides, and meeting-room signage.
  • Maintain sponsorship, exhibition, and advertising records, and coordinate client materials and communications.
  • Liaise with clients, colleagues, and venues about meeting-room arrangements and practical event requirements.
  • Assist with customer payments, invoices, payment reminders, and accurate financial and client records.
  • Keep internal systems and project documentation up to date, prioritise tasks across projects, and raise workload or deadline concerns early.
  • Travel to events when required to support delivery.
