G4S Events Team Recruitment

G4S Events Team are recruiting SIA (DS) Licensed Security Officers to work at Burnley Football Club, with exciting opportunities across major sporting and music events in the region – and even nationwide if you’re happy to travel.

Whether you’re welcoming fans, responding to incidents, or supporting general security operations, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a safe, fun, and memorable experience for everyone attending.

You will need to be available for match days, which could be a weekday evening or at the weekend. Within the broader G4S Events business we can also offer you opportunities to suit your lifestyle, whether it’s flexible ad hoc hours, or working 40+ hours a week, we have a wide range of shifts available.

Our Event Security Officers provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. Which means you could be inside or outside, on your feet showing people where to go, checking tickets at entry, monitoring the crowd and managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you’ll be the fun, helpful and friendly face representing G4S.

Responsibilities

As an Events Security Officer you will be responsible for securing the venues, staff and visitors for our customers. This may include:

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks, ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Searching visitors on entry to venues
  • Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
  • Monitoring visitors, crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take appropriate action as necessary
  • Dealing with visitor/crowd disruptions
  • Securing licensed and hospitality areas

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
