Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

About Us

Whitwam Ltd is 117 years old and still evolving. We have four sectors of business that are in growth and we need professionally minded people who like doing things well, for nice clients.

Our Designed. Event Production team delivers AV for live events, corporate events and expos across the UK and Europe, and we're looking for an AV Technician to join the team, based out of our office and warehouse in Winchester.

About The Role

You'll prep and pack kit, run technical checks, and operate AV on site for live events and expos. You'll also support our production manager, help maintain stock, and learn new technologies as we bring them in.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepping, testing and packing AV kit for events and hires
  • Delivering, unloading, setting up and running pre-event checks and technical rehearsals on site
  • Operating kit during events as part of the crew
  • Clearing down, returning kit to storage, and flagging any issues or discrepancies between the quoted and actual job
  • Re-testing and re-prepping returned kit for future hires, including PAT testing (training provided)
  • Supporting the production manager and helping to maintain stock
  • Covering client contact (phone, email and walk-in) and general team support when needed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
