About the Role

A hands-on role managing the day-to-day operations of Marketplace.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor and enhance guest service activities of the location
  • Maintain adequate levels of stock, including ordering of stock.
  • Receipt of goods; liaise with suppliers on quality issues
  • Ensure Marketplace presentation is to company standard
  • Implementation and maintenance of food and beverage systems
  • Provide a safe work environment by ensuring all team members have knowledge of safety equipment and emergency procedures and by facilitating safe work behaviors
  • Ensure all equipment and log books are updated
  • Ensure the correct implementation of core range, promotions, new product lines and initiatives, as directed by National F&B Operations Manager/ General Manager
  • Ensure practices relating to responsible service of alcohol are adhered to
  • House policy is followed
  • Ensure Marketplace is open/closed according to procedures and on time
  • Ensure that the areas surrounding Marketplace are clean and tidy at all times and supervise and/or conduct regular checks of these areas
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating effectively, is clean and presentable, and serviced as per requirements
  • Train and motivate team members
  • Provide leadership to team members. Give clear directions and instructions to staff on shift.
  • Ensure all teams product knowledge is to an acceptable level.
  • Acknowledge and reward good performance and nurture career development of staff by conducting regular performance appraisals in conjunction with General Manager.
  • Assist in meeting revenue and expense budgets for the location.
  • Maximise sales through process and product knowledge
  • Assist in maximising revenue and yield per patron.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient cash handling and audit procedures are carried out
  • Maintain COGS at appropriate level as indicated by the company
  • Complete stocktakes, analyse and solve all stock related issues.
  • Tracking and analysis of wastage and ullage
  • Ensure team members are Customer Obsessed
  • Complete all duties as per standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene through diligent cleaning practices throughout the cinema complex.
