Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is the UK's largest and most iconic festive event, attracting approximately 2.5 million visitors each year. Held annually in the heart of London's Hyde Park, it features world-class attractions, live entertainment, Christmas markets, hospitality experiences, and immersive seasonal attractions delivered on a large-scale operational footprint.
Bringing the event to life requires a dedicated workforce of events professionals who play a vital role in delivering safe, memorable, and high-quality experiences for guests throughout the season. We are looking for an ECC Loggist who will play a vital role in maintaining the event log and supporting the wider ECC team. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth and safe operation of one of the UK's largest live events.
Working closely with event operations, production, security, stewarding and medical contractors, and external partners, you will support the ECC team to deliver an efficient, professional, and customer-focused event operation throughout Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.
Purpose:
The purpose of the ECC Loggist role is to maintain a safe and secure event through the delivery of an accurate and reliable event log. This role supports the daily coordination of approximately 2000 staff and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2026.
The event will open for seven weeks to the public, running from 19th November 2026 until 3rd January 2027, and will kick-off with a private preview night on 18th November. The ECC is operational every day throughout the live event and this role will form part of an operational roster; the post holder must therefore be available for the whole period.
Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
ECC:
- Log all phone and radio calls that come to the ECC, including all immediate and subsequent actions taken.
- Log as much detail as reasonably possible, using consistent and uniformed terminology, ensuring key details have been populated and categorised to the appropriate category.
- Liaise with the ECC manager, security controller, medic controller, and steward controller on any outstanding logs with the purpose of closing them off prior to the end of day.
- Support communications and functions within the ECC where requested and appropriate.
- Support the ECC manager in completing the end-of-day reports. Upon approval from the event silver, the ECC Loggist is responsible for sending the end of day report to the recipient list via email prior to leaving site.

AOB:
- Work proactively in a team and support these around them to deliver the best event for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland Visitors.
- Be an ambassador for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, helping to support the success of the event.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties that are requested by your line manager.
Role Deliverables:
- An accurate and comprehensive event log.
- The timely collation and sending of the end-of-day reports.
Unusual Challenges or Circumstances (e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel)
- Regular evening and weekend work during the winter period.
- Potential to be on site at Hyde Park from early November 2026 to early January 2027. Exact period to be confirmed on appointment.
- Working on a roster system with at least two days off a week; however, hours will vary.
- Outside of event travel there may be a requirement to travel for meetings as part of the role.

Training and meetings:
The ECC Loggist is expected to attend the following mandatory in-person training and meeting sessions:
- Monday 2nd November, 10:00 – 16:00 - ECC Training Day (Central London location tbc)
Pay:
- £14.54 per hour – PAYE.
- Travel expenses and accommodation are not provided.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential:

- Experience of working in an event control room or security operations room.
- Experience of working with event logging software.
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders from different organisations and differing organisational levels.
Desirable:
- Experience working on large-scale public events, festivals, sporting events, exhibitions, or entertainment venues.
- Experience working with freelancers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Understanding of GDPR and confidential data handling requirements.
Skills & Abilities (Personal and Professional)
- A people-person, who is enthusiastic, reliable, and resilient.
- Working knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently communicate at all levels of the business.
