Role: Event Controller (Live Events)
Reports to: Senior Event Manager
Location: UK Wide, remote working job across multiple festivals throughout the UK. MUST be willing to travel.
Contract Type: 6 month contract from May 31st - September 15th 2026 with a strong likelihood of extension into winter work
Hours: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - Event hours and set up and break down.
Job Overview
We are looking for an organised and passionate individual to join our touring events team for summer 2027. We are looking for someone who loves working in events and is calm, controlled and highly organised. The role requires working at a festival site every weekend of the summer from May to September, you will begin working on a Thursday where you will be responsible for setting up the event office and distributing radios and accreditation. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays you will work the live events as our event controller. These are long days and sometimes late nights so it is important this person has experience in events and understands that events can change at any moment. You will travel across the UK each week and work in a different location each weekend, accommodation and travel is covered by the company.

What you'll be responsible for: Event Control
PRE/POST EVENTS
- Radio accreditation - signing in and out radios and allocating them for all teams on site
- Managing the Event Liaison Team office, ensuring it is set up ready for events days and keeping it organised throughout the weekend and then packing down and palletising the office ready for it to be shipped to the next location
- Wristband accreditation - allocating wristbands to departments and being responsible for accreditation
- Meal vouchers - allocating meal vouchers to on site teams and recording this
DURING LIVE EVENTS
- Logging all ELT Meetings
- Liaising with security control and onsite teams and actioning as required
- Coordinating communication between onsite teams
- Monitoring incidents and responding to issues as they arise
- Supporting crowd safety and site operations
- Coordinating with security, medical and emergency services
- Monitoring weather and changing site conditions
- Keeping clear records of incidents and key decisions
- Ensuring important information is communicated to the right people
- Providing a central point for event management and key stakeholders
- Documenting at all times to provide a reliable safety net for compliance

You'll need to have
- Previous experience as an event controller is required
- Proven organisation and communication skills
- Proven experience in logging incidents and communicating with emergency services
Nice to haves
- Any relevant event experience
- Any relevant qualifications
- Full UK driving license
