The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Event Coordinator to join Robert Walters as a Consultant where you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment with one of our clients, a leading US Investment Bank. In return, we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.
Description for Candidates

As part of our client's dynamic Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Events and Sponsorship team, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of memorable experiences that strengthen client relationships and enhance our client's brand presence. Working closely with colleagues across Events, Marketing and the wider business, you'll contribute to a range of high-profile events across the UK and Europe while developing your expertise within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Summary
As an Events Coordinator within the EMEA Events and Sponsorships Team, you will support the planning and delivery of conferences, client events and industry engagements. Working alongside experienced event professionals, you will collaborate with regional sales, marketing and product teams to help deliver high-quality experiences for our clients.

This role will involve supporting both individual and team projects, coordinating event logistics, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and helping to ensure events are delivered effectively and in line with company standards and policies. It offers the opportunity to develop your event management and project coordination skills while working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Job Responsibilities
- Support with planning and delivery of conferences, client events and industry engagements, ensuring seamless execution from conception to post-event follow-up.
- Partner with senior event leads on complex, large-scale projects, providing end-to-end coordination and logistical support.
- Support with event budgets, purchase orders, invoices and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align on requirements, materials, venues and communications.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including attendee management, venue setup, branding, and on-the-day operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, risk frameworks and industry regulations across all event activities.
- Help drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, innovative ideas and efficiencies within the Events and Sponsorships function.
Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Proven experience supporting corporate events, conferences, sponsorships or exhibitions, ideally within a global financial or professional services environment.
- Strong organisational, analytical and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the confidence to liaise clearly and succinctly across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Comfortable working with technology and event management systems, including coordination with external suppliers and agencies.
- Highly motivated, flexible and collaborative team player, able to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to change, continuous improvement and embracing diverse perspectives and working styles.
- Demonstrable ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team, adapting to shifting priorities with a positive mindset.
