Your role: Event Delivery Producer
The Event Delivery Producer is the operational heartbeat of our Summits & Forums portfolio stream within News Live. This role works closely with the Senior Event Delivery Producer, and is dedicated to taking high-profile thought leadership summits, B2B forums, dinners and roundtables from initial brief to flawless live execution.
This role involves leading on small-to-medium-sized events and supporting large-scale events across our portfolio.
You will be a visionary executor who understands the unique mechanics of delivering summits, balancing complex multi-speaker agendas, high-value sponsor activations, C-suite delegate experiences, and technical stage setups. Working across our iconic portfolio, you will drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and world-class production value that positions News UK as the premier home for live journalism and industry debate.
Day to day you will:
- Lead the end-to-end operational delivery of assigned summits and forums, keeping quality high, brands aligned, and projects profitable.
- Manage production agencies, AV specialists, set designers, and venue teams on site during build, live delivery, and de-rig.
- Partner with commercial, editorial, and marketing teams to align stage content, speaker logistics, and sponsor activations.
- Oversee event budgets, purchase orders, financial forecasting, and post-event reconciliation to protect commercial margins.
- Streamline workflows using tools like Smartsheet, Slack, and emerging AI technologies to elevate the delegate experience.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Experience within an events role with a demonstrable track record of producing and delivering B2B events.
- A background in delivering B2B events and multi-track conferences while managing overlapping deadlines and concurrent delivery schedules.
- Experience managing corporate sponsors, delegates, and senior decision-makers in an event environment.
- Deep technical understanding of AV, staging, run-of-shows, room management, and venue operations.
- Financial acumen in tracking event budgets and negotiating competitive supplier rates to preserve profitability.
- Clear, confident communication that enables you to guide internal teams and external clients under tight deadlines.
- A calm, resourceful problem-solving approach when navigating live operational challenges on site.
