About The Role
We are looking for a strategic and commercially focused event leader to own the vision, performance, and growth of a portfolio of events. You will be responsible for leading high-performing teams, delivering strong commercial outcomes, and creating exceptional experiences for customers, exhibitors, and attendees. Working across a matrix organisation, you will drive innovation, business growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence while ensuring the successful delivery of events onsite.
Responsibilities
- Drive individual and team performance to create high performing show teams.
- Own and communicate the event vision and strategy, aligning team objectives with the wider RX business vision and strategy.
- Lead effectively within a matrix structure, ensuring appropriate support and resources are in place to deliver strategic goals and onsite execution.
- Take full responsibility for event P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and revenue growth.
- Develop and deliver show strategies, sales and marketing plans, and new revenue streams using customer insights and market intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong industry relationships, acting as the face of the events and representing RX within the market.
- Drive product development initiatives, identify customer needs, and encourage continuous innovation and improvement.
- Ensure exemplary onsite event delivery, including ownership of Health and Safety standards.

Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, pricing, and profit & loss accountability.
- Ability to create and execute strategic growth plans and deliver against revenue objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working successfully within matrix organisations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clarity, influence stakeholders, and build business cases.
- Experience leveraging customer insights, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to drive business decisions.
- Ability to foster psychological safety, promote diversity of thought, and encourage open communication.
- Strong operational focus with experience delivering complex projects or events to a high standard.
