Event Director - Global Awards & Events - 12 month FTC

West Sussex / London / Hybrid

The company

This leading events and media company deliver a global events programme from conferences to exhibitions & award ceremonies, parties and press launches within the events and hospitality sector. These take place internationally with events ranging from 100 - 1000 pax across a wide range of unusual and creative destinations and venues!

The role

We are now supporting this lovely business with the hire of a 12 month FTC for an Event Director to support the Head of Events and lead the busy events team. Sculpting the strategy for the portfolio, supporting the team to execute a range of global events, and launching new creative events will all form part of this role. This role is also operational and will lead the larger and more complex events from scoping out the budget, creating the format and overall production of the events, managing the awards and liaising with any events / production agency partners. The role will involve global travel as well as project / line management.

About you

This is a senior role and experience in leading a range of global awards ceremonies as well as international event portfolios is key. You will have excellent commercial and operational experience as well as a background leading and managing teams. With a creative flair, the ability to juggle multiple large scale projects and excellent budget and supplier management skills this is a super varied role where you will shape strategy and lead exciting global events!
