Company Description

The Ebrington Hotel is the North West’s grandest 4-star hotel, proudly recognized as AA NI Hotel of the Year 24/25 and Hotel of the Year at the NW Business Awards 2024 and 25.

Located on Ebrington Square and overlooking the iconic Peace Bridge and city skyline, the hotel offers 89 bedrooms, including four luxurious suites. The property features extensive event facilities, including a large multi-purpose conference and banqueting suite and additional conference rooms that can accommodate up to 300 guests. Guests also enjoy a luxury spa with hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, a two-storey pub with an outdoor terrace, the 2 Rosette AA Oakroom restaurant, and a well-equipped hotel gym.

Role Description

The Event Executive is a full-time, on-site role based at The Ebrington Hotel in Londonderry. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering conferences, banquets, weddings, and special events across the hotel’s event spaces, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Day-to-day tasks include managing event bookings, preparing proposals and contracts, liaising with clients to confirm event details, and coordinating with internal teams such as catering, spa, front office, and operations to align on logistics and service standards. The Event Executive will oversee event setup, support on-the-day execution, monitor quality and guest satisfaction, and handle any issues promptly and professionally. The role also involves maintaining accurate event records, supporting revenue and upselling opportunities, and contributing to continuous improvement of the hotel’s event offerings.

  • Experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within a hotel, conference center, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide outstanding guest service.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, including attention to detail, ability to manage multiple events, and confidence in handling logistics.
  • Collaborative working style, with experience coordinating across departments such as food and beverage, front office, spa, and operations.
  • Competence with event management systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations); familiarity with booking and CRM tools is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Professional demeanor and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualification in hospitality, events management, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
