Assignment Type: Temporary, ongoing basis via Hays

Location: Farnborough

Working Environment: Hybrid working, with a combination of office-based and home-based working, plus travel to events as required.

Pay Type: Competitive hourly rate

The Role

Passionate about creating exceptional experiences? This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-profile events that engage employees, partners, customers, and stakeholders. From conferences and leadership events to large-scale brand activations, you will play a key role in planning and delivering impactful experiences. Working alongside experienced Event Managers and senior stakeholders, you will gain exposure to all stages of the event lifecycle, including planning, logistics, live event delivery, and post-event evaluation. This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career in events, experiential marketing, or communications within a fast-paced and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of major events, activations, and experiential programs, helping to create memorable experiences for a variety of audiences.
  • Work closely with Event Managers to deliver internal events, partner engagement activities, conferences, incentive programs, and celebration events.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events from concept through to completion, coordinating venues, suppliers, logistics, communications, and attendee experiences.
  • Manage specific event workstreams and project activities, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Brief and coordinate agencies and suppliers to achieve agreed objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Support event communications and promotional activity, working alongside internal teams to maximize engagement and impact.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business functions including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Corporate Communications.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics requirements relating to events and wider brand activity.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement, helping to enhance processes, event technology, and ways of working.
  • Travel within the UK will be required, with occasional travel further afield.

Working Pattern:

Hybrid working is supported; however, a strong office presence is encouraged. The successful candidate will typically be office-based a minimum of four days per week when not attending events.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of two years' experience in events, experiential marketing, communications, or a related discipline, gained either client-side or agency-side.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality event experiences.
  • Experience working with agencies, suppliers, and external partners to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, procurement processes, and supplier relationships.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of experiential marketing, event production, and creative delivery would be advantageous.
  • Experience within automotive, retail, or premium consumer brands would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Degree in Events, Marketing, Business, or a related field is desirable; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Understanding of premium brand standards and customer experience principles would be advantageous.
