Help bring the energy to Dream Big Day!
We're looking for a confident and engaging Event Host to help welcome hundreds of school children, introduce speakers, keep the audience excited and create a fun, memorable atmosphere while raising awareness of bed poverty working with Mr Motivator!
What difference will you make?
Your contribution will help make Dream Big Day an engaging, inspiring and memorable experience for hundreds of children. As the public face of the event, you will play a key role in creating an exciting atmosphere, ensuring activities run smoothly and helping young people stay engaged throughout the day.
Dream Big Day is designed to raise awareness of bed poverty while encouraging children to think about wellbeing, community action and how they can make a difference. By confidently leading the audience through the programme, introducing speakers and maintaining energy throughout the event, you will help ensure these important messages are delivered in a way that is fun, accessible and impactful.
As a small charity, opportunities like Dream Big Day are vital for increasing awareness of our work and building support for children who do not have a bed of their own. Your involvement will help us deliver a high-quality event that inspires schools, strengthens community partnerships and encourages fundraising to support our mission.
Ultimately, your enthusiasm, communication skills and stage presence will help create a positive experience for everyone involved, enabling us to reach more children, raise greater awareness of bed poverty and encourage more people to support the work of Mr Motivator's Bed Bank.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and engaging volunteer who is passionate about inspiring young people and supporting our mission to tackle bed poverty.
The ideal volunteer will be comfortable speaking in front of large groups, able to think on their feet and capable of creating a fun, inclusive and energetic atmosphere. Experience in presenting, hosting events, public speaking, teaching, youth work, performance or community engagement would be beneficial, but we are equally interested in volunteers with natural confidence and enthusiasm.
Key qualities include:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Confidence speaking to large audiences, including children and young people.
- A friendly, approachable and positive personality.
- The ability to engage and motivate an audience.
- Good organisational and timekeeping skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional while adapting to changes throughout the event.
- Confidence working as part of a team and taking direction where needed.
- A commitment to supporting our mission to tackle bed poverty.
We are looking for someone who can bring energy, warmth and personality to the role, helping children feel excited, included and inspired throughout the day. Most importantly, we want someone who shares our belief that every child deserves a safe place to sleep and who can help communicate that message in a positive and engaging way.
What will you be doing?
As our Volunteer Event Host, you will play a key role in bringing energy, enthusiasm and excitement to Dream Big Day. Working alongside the Mr Motivator's Bed Bank team, you will help create a fun and engaging experience for hundreds of primary school children while raising awareness of bed poverty and the importance of sleep and wellbeing.

Taking centre stage throughout the event, you will welcome schools, introduce speakers and activities and Mr Motivator to the stage, keep the programme running to time, and help maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere. You'll act as the link between sessions, helping to engage the audience, build excitement and ensure children remain involved throughout the day.
We are looking for someone who is confident speaking in front of large groups, enjoys interacting with young people and can bring warmth, personality and enthusiasm to the role. Previous experience of presenting, public speaking, performing, hosting events or working with children would be beneficial, but most importantly we're looking for someone who can connect with an audience and help create a memorable experience.
Dream Big Day brings together schools from across the local area to learn about sleep, wellbeing and bed poverty, while inspiring children to make a difference in their communities. As Event Host, you will help set the tone for the day and ensure every child feels welcomed, included and excited to take part.
