About
HYPE is The Startup Event Company.
We bring together startup founders, operators, and investors through events across Europe’s key startup cities.
We’re now looking for an Event Lead to help us deliver world-class startup events in London.
The Role
You’ll be the person who makes the event happen, working directly with John, the founder.
From finding the right venue and coordinating suppliers to getting signage printed and making sure the room looks right on the night, you’ll own the logistics and production behind HYPE events in London.
You’ll work closely with the team, venues, suppliers, and event partners to take an event from an idea and turn it into a great IRL experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and managing venues
- Managing event logistics
- Finding and coordinating suppliers
- Working with our designer to prepare event branding and creative assets
- Organising print production for signage, banners, badges, and other event materials
- Managing delivery, setup, and installation of event branding
- Creating event run sheets, production schedules, and checklists
- Being the operational lead on the day

The Opportunity
1/ Build some of London’s greatest startup events. HYPE runs hackathons, meetups, cafés, dinners, social events, and other IRL experiences. You’ll get the opportunity to be the creative owner of event formats while working with some of the leading tech companies in London.
2/ Develop your career in events. This role is ideal for someone already working in community and events who wants more ownership. Rather than owning one small part of a large production, you’ll get experience across the entire event: venues, suppliers, branding, and more.
3/ Be creative. Working with an early-stage startup event company, you’ll have the opportunity to take risks and suggest creative ideas. Our team believes we can make any idea a reality. This role suits someone who has a creative spark and loves trying new things.
You’ll get the opportunity to:
- Produce events for some of the most exciting companies in tech
- Build relationships with London’s best venues and suppliers
- Develop experience across every part of event production
- Help define how HYPE events are delivered across Europe

Salary
- Per event fee ranging from £500 - £1,500 depending on the size and scope of event
- Part-time role
- Get paid per event, within the week
